Sales and Business Development- (Freight Forwarding)
Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy focused on the US export market.
• Identify and qualify new leads through market research, networking, and industry events.
• Build strong relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their specific needs and challenges.
• Educate clients on our full range of freight forwarding services, including Ocean and Air exports and imports, customs clearance, and value-added services.
• Negotiate and close deals, ensuring profitability and exceeding sales targets.
• Prepare compelling proposals and presentations that showcase our expertise and competitive advantage.
• Manage customer relationships, providing exceptional service and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations, particularly those impacting US exports.
• Collaborate with internal teams (operations, customer service, and logistics) to ensure seamless execution of client shipments.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in freight forwarding sales, with a demonstrated track record of success.
• Strong understanding of Ocean and Air exports and imports, including customs clearance procedures.
• Proven experience and knowledge of the US export market, its regulations, and key players.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
• A self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
